US based manicurist Deborah Lippmann is one of the most sought-after manicurists in the world, regularly working her hand magic on fashion magazine photo shoots, on celebrities in the fashion, music and entertainment world and for renowned fashion houses. It was as a result of working so closely with celebrities, editors and fashion designers that she identified a gap in the market for a diverse range of nail colours and luxury care products. She then set out to create her own line of high quality nail lacquers and treatments, bringing in her own unique fashion point of view.

The Deborah Lippmann line now incorporates more than 50 long wearing shades, as well specialty treatments for nails, hands and feet. Its products are always named after songs, inspired by Lippmann’s passion for music and her professional singing career. The luxury brand recently relaunched in the UK. In 2010, Lippmann was honoured as Nail Visionary at Cosmoprof Worldwide.

Why have you decided to relaunch your range into the UK?

The UK is one of the few places, like New York, Paris and Milan, that people look to for fashion and trends.

Who do you see as your target market in the UK and how will you reach them?

The woman who is always on the lookout for something special and fashionable to help her stand out. I hope to reach this woman through the work that I do on a daily basis with celebrities and top fashion magazines. We are fortunately partnering with retailers where these women are already shopping, such as Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.
