2016 #Beauty20 Awards recognises Mary Kay is top online innovator on three social platforms

Mary Kay has been named Best Pinterest, Best YouTube, Best App at the 2016 #Beauty20 Awards in the US.

The awards are hosted by innoCos Digital and recognise the most ground-breaking innovation in digital marketing by beauty brands.

More than 350 companies submitted nominations. A shortlist of five finalists was then carefully drawn up by a panel of industry experts and put to a public vote.

“We love that Mary Kay customers and our Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants are some of the most engaged, loyal and enthusiastic brand champions on social media.”

Around 8,000 beauty fans voted for the brands they felt were the most innovative and pioneering in their online presence.

Mary Kay came top in three categories. This is the third time that the brand has been recognised at the awards.

Mary Kay has around 95,000 followers on Pinterest thanks to its use of tutorials, tips and eye-catching photography on the site. The platform has created an additional 45,000 clicks through to the Mary Kay website in the past year.

On YouTube, Mary Kay videos have been viewed more than 11.1 million times. The Mary Kay Virtual Makeover App has been downloaded more than 7 million times.

Last year, Mary Kay won Best Facebook, Best Pinterest and Best YouTube.
