Mega Airless presented a new generation of lacquers for its standard dispensers at the 2015 Cosmopack Bologna. These lacquers are in the vein of its Soft Touch varnish, offering a range of effects from rough stone and wet effects to crackled or fissured effects. The lacquers can be applied to an entire product or portions of a product.
The rough stone effect evokes strength and resistance to time, using a process where printing follows lacquering, which can then be decorated with hot-stamped pieces.
The crackle or fissure effect is available in several shades and is transparent, which allows the user to see inside the bottle. With this effect, the printing can be done either before or after the lacquer is applied.
For the wet effect, droplets appear on the surface of the product to produce a slight relief appearance and evoke freshness. For this effect, printing is carried out before the lacquering process.
