Women in 18-35 age bracket expected to be main consumers

A new survey has revealed that increasing numbers of women in the 18-35 age bracket are turning to the Internet to buy their health and beauty products.

The Bradbank 2012 Report on Heath & Beauty carried out research in April which indicated that retailers and suppliers would appear to have a major opportunity to target this age group with ‘two out of three women’ expected to spend more online on health and beauty in the next 12 months.

The survey also showed that 36% of the sample expressed an interest in mobile shopping apps for health and beauty products while seven out of ten women in the above age group are already, to some degree, multichannel consumers because they either already buy beauty products online or they do their research online before then buying the products in a store.
