New beech bottle for L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme

Sold exclusively at duty free retailers

Technotraf Wood Packaging has produced a wooden beech bottle for a new special edition of Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme to be sold exclusively at duty free retail outlets.

The new package is the third wooden bottle Technotraf has made for the fragrance. Each in the series features the same basic design with a slightly different finish for a radically different look. The first was made to resemble driftwood, while the second was stained a rich brown colour. This new edition has a natural beech finish.

The design uses PEFC-certified wood, sourced from sustainable forests and taps into the trend for natural packaging. Each package starts life as a block of wood and is gradually hollowed out to house a 100ml perfume pouch. CNC milling machines are then used to carve the exact geometry, after which the wood is stained and varnished. Each finished piece is entirely unique.
