Olsen twins enter make-up market with lipgloss

Published: 24-Nov-2014

The Nirvana lipgloss only comes in one shade and is sold with a fragrance

The Olsen twins, Ashley and Mary-Kate, have launched into the make-up market with a lipgloss designed to accompany their fashion label Elizabeth and James.

There is only one colour – a nude shade called Nirvana, which has a vanilla scent. It comes in a 5ml transparent square tube with a gold cylindrical cap.

The twins launched the first Nirvana products in 2013 - two perfumes called Nirvana Black and Nirvana White. The new lipgloss is currently available only as part of a box set accompanied by either Nirvana White or Nirvana Black, costing $29 from Sephora, as a limited edition. The fragrance comes in a 10ml rollerball version, which normally costs $22 on its own.

It is understood that the twins have no plans to produce more colour make-up and that the lipgloss is not a tester for a future collection. Elizabeth and James is named after the twins' siblings.
