P&G cuts severance payouts to former employees

P&G has cut the amount it is paying out to former employees in severance costs as it attempts to bring its finances back into order.

Average payments have fallen from $157,000 to $106,000 for those leaving P&G in the last 12 months, according to media sources. However the severance bill remains hefty for P&G: In the company’s latest annual report it was revealed that $2bn has been paid so far over a six year period.
