P&G launches Vidal Sassoon Pro Series

This month sees the release of a new hair colour, care and styling line from Procter & Gamble\'s mass hair care brand Vidal Sassoon called the Vidal Sassoon Pro Series.


This month sees the release of a new hair colour, care and styling line from Procter & Gamble's mass hair care brand Vidal Sassoon called the Vidal Sassoon Pro Series. The new line launches into mass beauty retailers in the US only, with products priced between $2.49-$8.99.

"We wanted to bring Vidal Sassoon's legacy to life for a new generation with the Pro Series line," said Walter Geiger, P&G's vp and gm of North America Hair Care & Colour.

"Building on Vidal Sassoon's unique vision that democratised beauty for all, we created a line of salon-inspired products that are affordable, accessible and inspire women to become the master of their own hair."

The comprehensive line will include five care and styling sub-collections; Colour, Moisture, Repair, Volume and Smooth, and will include items such as shampoo, conditioner, finishing spray and hair masks. There will also be a styling and finishing collection which features hairspray, mousse and gel.

Finally, there's also a new permanent hair colour kit that will be available in 18 shades. The kits are said to provide 100 per cent grey coverage and long-lasting colour.
