Personal care giant Procter & Gamble and the Institute for System Biology (ISB), the non-profit research institute headquartered in Seattle, have formed a partnership to collaborate on skin research.

P&G’s expertise in skin biology and dermatology and the ISB’s scientific knowledge will merge to uncover important molecular processes involved in skin ageing and other skin conditions.

Commenting on the new connection, the vice president of research & development at P&G, Al Maingot, said: “We are looking forward to working with the Institute for System Biology and see this relationship as highly strategic. Along with supporting our skin care business, this collaboration will enhance our expanding core systems biology capabilities.”
