Designs that focus on maximising the ‘opening experience’ for consumers has become a key theme for rigid box specialists Pollard Boxes.

The company has considered a range of box formats that open gradually, creating a sense of excitement and anticipation for the consumer. The company believes that this experience could add to the overall brand image.

Ian Bason, Sales Development Manager at Pollard, said: “We have had many enquiries recently from companies who are seeking ways to make the most of the opening experience. This of course is a major requirement for a gift pack but this type of packaging also provides reassurance of the appropriateness of their purchase to consumers buying products for themselves, and this is particularly vital for internet sales.”

The company’s CAD team has created several concept formats to demonstrate the different ways the ‘reveal’ can be incorporated and how the use of various materials and printing technologies can maximise the effect.
