Principle Process Chemist – €40K - €50K + Competitive Package

A fantastic new opportunity has come up at an exciting, fast growing International Cosmetics Company. They offer a complete range of high quality fragrance, skincare, colour and personal care cosmetics, alongside a new wellness range.

An unmissable opportunity has come about within the organisations state of the art R&D facility for a Principle Process Chemist, an opening that will not be on the market for long. You will be part of the Process Technology Development team focusing on industrialising the whole of the cosmetics, skincare, toiletry and fragrance portfolios. You will also be part of the industrialisation of the innovative portfolio of products in the NPD pipeline.

The Principle Process Chemist role reports to the Process Technology Development Manager and will have a lot of communication across key departments in the business.

The position will work directly with the Formulation team directly after the product briefing to assess risks and create mitigation activities. You will need to address any scale-up issues as and when they arise, develop manufacturing directions and product specifications. You will work closely with the Manufacturing team to ensure a smooth introduction of any new technologies on site and assess the capability of new suppliers. It is an important role in the support of the NPD team to ensure all the process developments and challenges are dealt with accordingly to guarantee successful delivery of projects.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in Science or Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment. You must have knowledge of scale up and piloting to best practise during the product development stages. Experience in the Cosmetics, Personal care and Fragrance industry is a must.
