Global market outshines Spanish performance

Spanish cosmetics and fragrances group Puig, one of the potential contenders to acquire Jean-Paul Gaultier, has posted a 22% increase in sales for 2010 to €1.2bn with net earnings soaring 57% to €130m.

The company has benefited from the exceptionally strong growth in sales of its Paco Rabanne perfume. Sales on the Spanish domestic market only expanded by 2% but went up 30% in the rest of the world.
