Regulatory Toxicologist – Cosmetics – RA – Permanent – Surrey – c.£30k

We are seeking a Regulatory Toxicologist to join our client, a leading consultancy, on a permanent basis, where you will work with clients to provide product regulatory compliance services and advice to the global consumer and industrial chemicals markets. You will have strong experience working in cosmetics registrations with excellent cosmetics regulatory knowledge.

This is an exciting opportunity for an established professional to join the regulatory team of a leading consultancy company where you will be instrumental in the provision of compliance services and the completion of safety assessments and toxicological reports for a range of products and regulatory regimes.

Duties:

  • Completion of safety assessments and toxicological reports for a range of products and regulatory regimes
  • Provision of compliance services, both as part of company’s service and for clients generally
  • Business development & marketing; including representing the company at trade shows, conferences and client meetings
  • Project management of toxicological or business focussed activities to help achieve the company’s long‐term goals
  • Technical data entry / raw material entry and review
  • Managing allocated workload to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a suitable quality
  • Preparation of Toxicological Risk Assessments for various consumer chemical products against relevant regulations as required
  • Organising, collating and verifying data sets required to support a product’s regulatory compliance, including both pre‐market approval and post‐market surveillance
  • Liaising with regulatory agencies and industry bodies on behalf of the company and clients to ensure product compliance and help with issue resolution
  • To contribute towards the company’s external training courses by preparing and writing course content and delivering sessions as and when is possible
  • Customer services & client relationship management by phone, email or in‐person. Includes representation of the company at client meetings, trade shows, conferences and other events as necessary
  • Writing articles, books and other literature as required
  • Assisting with the training and development of other staff as and when required

Essential skills & experience:

  • A relevant qualification in toxicology
  • Experience working in cosmetics registrations
  • Strong cosmetics regulatory knowledge

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Experience with REACH and CLP Regulations would be an advantage

Salary c.£30k dependent on experience + excellent benefits
