Revlon adopts "investment mode" in Q3 but sales fall flat

Revlon has reported flat net sales for Q3 2015. While Wall Street had expected in the region of $472m, the actual figure dipped slightly to $471.50m for the New York-based beauty operator.

The moribund earnings outlook hit Revlon’s shares, which consequently sank more than 4% to $30.28. However, on a branded basis, Revlon reported higher net sales of hair colourant brand ColorSilk and anti-perspirant deodorant brand Mitchum. But lower net sales of colour cosmetics brand Almay levelled the quarterly sales report.
