Supported by strong sales growth and customer support Specialist Anodising Company Ltd. (SACO) have purchased 9 new Platarg Presses, a new 78,000 sq ft. factory for warehousing and offices, a polishing machine and a printing machine.

This year the company will continue its investment program with its anodising line which will increase capacity from 250 million per annum to 500 million per annum.

Whilst these are challenging financial times SACO are very confident that investment is the correct strategy to ensure long term support / growth with its customers.

In 2014, the company will invest over £1million in a new anodising line doubling the anodising capacity and pave the way for growth over the coming years.

Pressing and assembly have been invested in over the years at SACO and it now has good spare capacity for growth, in Pressing SACO now have 50 Platarg presses and one Bruderer stamping press which provides the potential of over 750 million per annum. SACO's plan is to build a 2nd bespoke anodising line similar to the existing line which has supported the growth and success so far. The company will also take the opportunity to extensively refurbish the anodising area.

Recruitment

SACO is pleased to confirm it has significantly grown and strengthened its team over the last 12 months, welcome the following people:

  • Matthew Davies as HR and H&S Manager. Matthew is a solicitor with extensive management and legal experience. Matthew's role is clearly very important in supporting all areas of business through growth.
  • John Dewhurst as Sales & Commercial Manager. John formerly of IAC/Decorpart has a wealth of knowledge and experience of the process and market and is thoroughly enjoying his new challenge.
  • Patricia Vahe Goddard as Export Sales Consultant. Patricia has worked in the French Cosmetics market for over 20 years and so brings valuable knowledge and understanding. Patricia’s mother tongue is French and she is based in Paris and will also cover other export markets.
  • Craig Brunton as design engineer. Craig is also formerly of IAC/Decorpart and brings very valuable experience and design ideas to support growth.
  • Emilo Kithan and Sarah Britcliffe as Key Account Managers. Emilo and Sarah bring additional talent and support into the Sales Team.
  • This recruitment drive continues into 2014 with the company interested in employing new talent in many areas of the business from Toolmakers to an additional Key Account Manager, so please see the company's recruitment section for more details.

Exhibitions

Exhibiting is very important to SACO as it is such an important opportunity to meet with new and existing customers and learn about their needs and plans for the future. This year SACO plan to exhibit at the following exhibitions:

  • Luxepack New York - 14-15th May
  • Easy Fairs London - 30th September to 1st October
  • Luxepack Monaco - 27-29th October
