SCS council elected for 2006/2007

Officers and council for 2006/07 were elected by the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) at its AGM held on 23 May. Chris Nichols (Active Ingredients) is the new president, Mike Salmon (PB Beauty) is vice president, Clare Henderson (SPC) is the new honorary secretary and Judi Beerling (Pertech Associates) continues as honorary treasurer.

Chris Nichols (Active Ingredients) is the new president, Mike Salmon (PB Beauty) is vice president, Clare Henderson (SPC) is the new honorary secretary and Judi Beerling (Pertech Associates) continues as honorary treasurer.

New council members are Pauline Foster, (Foster & Brown Research), John Lofthouse (Lake Life Sciences) and Tony Morton (Body Shop).

Continuing in office is immediate past president Mike Cross (Coty) and councillors Martin Adams (Adams, Wilson & Assocs), Andy Best (Chemlink), Heather Carolan (Quest), Tony Gough (COSi), Pauline Owen (CPL) and Kumar Siva (Remploy). Also continuing in their roles are Susan Hurst (MiDAS) as honorary auditor, Anthony Rawlngs (AVR Consulting) as honorary editor and Dene Godfrey (S Black) as social secretary. Secretary general Lorna Weston and her assistant Lindy Underwood will continue to run the secretariat.

Maurice Hickling was elected an honorary member of the society for his many years of service and support and Clare Broomhead was presented with the Kenneth V Curry memorial scroll for the best student on the 2006 P&P course.
