DESCRIPTION

SENSIA CAROTA^PRCF is a glycerin based product derived from the cultured and lysed Daucus carota sativa root stem cells obtained by our Plant Cell Biofactories^TM(PCB) Technology.

Through the creative possibilities of the PCB Technology platform Phyture Biotech has designed SENSIA CAROTA^PRCF, a unique carrot that is cultivated in the presence of specific light conditions, while in normal conditions the root of the plant grows completely in the dark.

The characteristic and revolutionary Plasma Rich in Cell Factors ^TM (PRCF) arises out of the new light environment. Effect only achievable by the totipotency of the plant cell cultures used and by the extremely controlled and designed culture conditions applied (not possible in traditional growth systems).

When carrot culture cells are exposed to light, the radiation oxidative stress and the temperature increase, induces the mechanisms to protect the cells from the environmental damage, including polyphenolic defensive compounds and changes in the fatty acid production profiles to protect cell membranes.

IN VITRO EFFICACY

1. Antioxidant effect on Human Epidermal Progenitor Cells against Sun Radiation induced oxidative stress.

Up to 38% of Protection Index against oxidative stress after an oxidative insult (TBHP).

2. Inhibitory effect on the release of CGRP Neuropeptide in Sensory Neurons Culture

• Sensory Neurons culture.

• Capsaicin (30nM) induction of inflammatory response.
• CGRP quantification by ELISA.
• Control: Capsazepine (3µM).

Up to -39% of CGRP release induction after 24h pre-treatment, even higher than Capsazepine (-30%).

3. Induction of β-Endorphin release in Human Epidermal Progenitor Cells.

• IL-1α (10ng/mI) induction of inflammatory response
