Stretch blow moulding units can now be set with preferential heating modules

Serac, a company that specialises in machines for the design and assembly of packaging solutions, has announced an expansion of its capabilities.

The company’s stretch blow moulding units or Serac Blow Linear (SBL) units, used in the manufacture of PET bottles, can now be equipped with a preferential heating module that will aid in the uniform design of different bottle shapes.

The SBL units can be set up as standalone machines or in single-block blow fill cap equipment in order to mass produce wide and deep product ranges.

Preferential heating of PET in the early stages of production is required to create a uniform distribution of the material on flat, oval and complex shapes. The preferential heating technology proposed by Serac can be installed or removed onto equipment without tools in 15min.

The SBL series has been designed to create bottles of up to 5l with an output rate of 18,000 bottles per hour.
