UK-based cosmetics and fragrance wholesaler Star Global Trading, known as Star Perfumes, has gone into administration.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Salford-based company informed staff last week that the company was to close, with 104 workers at the site made redundant. The company had previously supplied perfumes and cosmetics to retailers in the UK.

In a statement shared on the company's website, Star Perfumes said that Julien Irving, Kevin Murphy and John Titley of Leonard Curtis Recovery had been appointed as joint administrators.

Founded in 1999, Star Global Trading stocked more than 700 brands and 4,000 fragrance and cosmetic products. Its clients included high street retailers in the UK and abroad as well as online retailers on Amazon and eBay.
