The creation of McQueen's perfume bottle for Couture was a complex process

A striking video showing the labour and efforts undertaken to bottle Alexander McQueen's latest fragrance Couture has been released.

The packaging company tasked with creating the intricate flaçon and its components was Groupe Pochet, a family-owned company headquartered in Clichy, France. Groupe Pochet owns Solev, Qualipac and Pochet du Courval, which each specialise in different packaging processes.

The antique gold feather zamac wreath, which features syringe-delivery enamel decoration, was created by Qualipac, while the cap collar that lies beneath the finely engraved cap features a ring varnished by Solev. Meanwhile, the curved bottle itself was made by Pochet du Courval, with silk-screening decoration used to highlight the smooth surface. Finally, parent comapny Groupe Pochet was tasked with assembling all of the components.
