Superdrug has announced more details of its upcoming online marketplace.

First announced in March, the new e-commerce platform will be open from September 2022 with a particular focus on international, female founded, sustainable and inclusive brands.

The A.S. Watson-owned retailer said it has signed more than 200 brands, including B Corp certified oral care brand Truthbrush and TikTok breakthrough make-up line Wonderskin.

Superdrug will also be supplying a number of baby care and wellness brands.

Reusable nappy brand TotsBots and sleek mask specialists Popmask have been named among its portfolio.

Superdrug's E-commerce Director Matt Walburn described Superdrug Marketplace as the "next logical step" for the high street business.

"It’s designed to help remove listing barriers for innovators in the market and provide hundreds of offline and online businesses with a flexible business opportunity and support they need to succeed in the digital world," he continued.

The British retailer said it will continue to sign new brands in the months leading up to the autumn launch.
