PQ Silicas:
PQ Silicas will be joining Surfachem for the first time at SCS Formulate 2016. PQ Silicas specialise in the manufacture of hydrated silica which is widely used as an exfoliant in the oral and personal care industries.
The Sorbosil BFG range of amorphous silica is used for exfoliation, formulations aesthetics and rheology control. Sorbosil BFG’s are biodegradable, ECOCERTified, sensory particles and are well established alternatives to polyethylene (PE) microbeads.
With the UK government’s plan to ban plastic microbeads like PE by 2017 the Sorbosil range from PQ Silicas is an ideal solution, requiring minimal formulation development and offering a very similar sensory profile.
