69-year-old actress is the brand ambassador for Age Perfect

L’Oréal Paris has added Susan Sarandon to its team of spokespeople, becoming the face of Age Perfect skincare & hair colour.

In a statement, the Thelma and Louise actress said: “The very first time I heard ‘Because I’m Worth It’, it definitely was a shift in the framing of why you should look good. It had to do with women becoming the master of their own lives and decisions. It’s an extremely powerful statement that has transcended time. Beauty comes from the inside; it’s a state of mine. I’m proud to be a part of their message and to represent the L’Oréal Paris woman.”

The brand added: “Highly respected by her peers and adored by the public, Susan Sarandon is an ageless beauty, proving that age is just a number and that happiness is the ultimate beauty tool.”

L’Oréal said that Sarandon was an obvious choice as an ambassador. “She is a true woman of worth: an Oscar winner, mother, activist, entrepreneur, fighter and a beautiful example of what it means to age with grace. She paved her own road to success with her signature film work, willingness to speak her mind without a filer and ageless beauty,” the company said.

The 69-year-old actress joins Karlie Kloss, Lara Stone and Julianne Moore on the brand’s team of ambassadors. Sarandon is the second actress signed up by L’Oréal just ahead of a 70th birthday. Last year, Dame Helen Mirren also became a spokesperson for the brand, then aged 69.
