Avenacare oat beta glucan: clinical study results / UK & Ireland distribution agreement 7-Nov-2011

Clinical studies carried out using Avenacare, the oat beta glucan ingredient from Swedish company Biovelop AB, have shown very positive results. Four studies were conducted by an independent, US-based testing laboratory to investigate the ability of Avenacare™ to:

• Reduce the appearance of skin irritation
• Prevent the appearance of UV-induced erythema
• Reduce the appearance of UV-induced erythema
• Increase tensile hair strength

Results from all four studies were very positive, providing clear evidence that Avenacare is effective in reducing the appearance of redness that can be caused by various forms of skin irritation, as well as in strengthening hair.
