Singapore-based Davos has launched a new vitamin E product that is claimed to promote skin depigmentation and sun protection mechanisms in the skin.

Natural e3 is a blend of tocotrienols extracted from RSPO certified and GMO free palm oil. The product is said to provide 55 times more melanin synthesis reduction of other skin depigmentation products and 60 times more antioxidant properties than standard vitamin E. It also has a high Radical Skin Factor (RSF) to support the skin’s natural antioxidant properties.

In research conducted by the company’s Life Sciences department, DavosLife in 2010, Natural e3 was found to promote skin depigmentation through the inhibition of the protein tyrosinase in melanin synthesis. The tocotrienols reduced melanin production by up to 55% .

In recognition of its research into the natural vitamin E market, Davos has been awarded the 2010 Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan Excellence in Research Award.

“We are honoured to receive this prestigious award which recognises our original research work that has advanced the knowledge of the potential health benefits of tocotrienols,” said Arthur Ling, ceo, DavosLife.
