X-Rite assess benefits of cover-up on young burn victims 2-Aug-2010

Categories | Outsourcing and Services | Measurement Testing Analysis | Information Technology | Colour Cosmetics |

X-Rite Europe has collaborated with Australia’s Microskin International in support of a study to determine the psychological benefits of specialised cover-up for children with burn scar tissue and other skin conditions.

X-Rite has provided a specialised spectrophotometer and colour matching software to Microskin, which intends to interface the X-Rite iMatch software with its own software, which accurately measures the normal colour of a person’s skin to enable the preparation of formulas that reproduce that colour.

Microskin specialises in flexible, waterproof cover-ups that can be applied using a stipple technique with a special sponge or an air-brush, which still allow the wearer’s skin to breathe and sweat.
