We are currently working on behalf of one of the UK’s leading cosmetics manufacturers who are known for delivering high end, novel and niche cosmetic products across many reputable brands.
Everybody wants a piece of these guys and as business is booming, the demand for skilled cosmetic professionals is higher than ever!

We are searching for an experienced Laboratory Project Manager who has a background in formulation chemistry to lead the development team and achieve successful completion of customer briefs.
In this role you will:

  • Act as the link between the customer and the technical team and provide technical support when needed
  • Be expected to create innovative stable and cost effective formulations using existing and new technologies available in the market place
  • Liaise with the production and compounding department regarding any unusual product properties or special needs for filling
  • Provide support to the Regulatory and R&D manager to achieve accurately documented and timely completion of new formulation developments from meeting briefs provided by internal and external clients
  • Coordinate the formulation development process of the business ensuring all information is accurately recorded and passed on to relevant departments
  • Liaise with the commercial team to help with project management customer briefs
  • Present concepts, market trends and formulation ideas to clients and business development

The successful candidate in this role will have at least 3-4 years’ experience as a formulation chemist working across a range of cosmetic products including hair care, skincare and personal wash. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential alongside a detailed knowledge of raw materials and active ingredients.
