British fragrance brand Shay & Blue is to launch a new scent inspired by the oud fragrances of the Middle East. New Oud Alif, created by Juliet Massé and Dom De Vetta, is described as a rich, creamy rounded oud, which uses oud agarwood to create softness, whilst still maintaining the smoky woody characteristics of an oud scent.
The concentrée opens with top notes of oud agarwood, blending to the heart of chocolate noir and saffron, which add richness to the blend. Finally, napa leather and patchouli create depth at the base.
The scent is housed in a signature Shay & Blue glass bottle with a smoked midnight black-blue finish to distinguish it from the rest of the collection. It will launch in the UK in November and will be priced at £105 for 100ml.
