Consumer Specialties

The Consumer Specialties business unit consists of the business lines Baby Care, Interface & Performance, Comfort & Insulation, Household Care and Personal Care, which includes the product line Cosmetic Ingredients. The product line focuses on raw materials for cosmetics and toiletries, and is built on a comprising technology platform: organic and silicon-organic substances as well as active ingredients. This platform together with a clear market orientation is the basis of its outstanding performance. The products offered are: conditioners and thickeners for hair care products, emulsifiers for creams and lotions, secondary surfactants, emollients (synthetic and enzymatically produced) and active ingredients – products for a growth-intensive market with high development potential. The business line wants to become the preferred partner of specialised raw materials for the cosmetic industry by a conceptional approach of market and customer competence, focused research and extensive formulation know-how.

As a specialist in concepts for effective skin, hair and body care products, Evonik Personal Care combines scientific excellence with passion.
