Purearth offers an award winning, artisanal skincare collection, carefully formulated by hand in micro-batches, harnessing the potency of rare and precious botanicals wild harvested ecologically or cultivated organically by farmers and grassroots producers at soaring altitudes in the pristine Himalayas
Founded in 2014 by Kavita Khosa, Purearth is born from a desire to reconnect with the Earth and seeks to foster a culture of conscious consumption, celebrating raw, transcendent beauty and craftsmanship that nourishes the skin and soul.
The brand partners with micro-credit women savings and self-help groups, enabling marginalized producer groups to engage with urban markets on fair terms. The purpose of doing so is to empower women through fair trade not aid.
Gentle on the earth and its creatures, petrochemicals, parbens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, palm, formaldehyde, silicones, sulphates, carbomers, PEG, DEA, TEA and GMOs are conspicuously absent from our glossary of ingredients which are 100% compostable, biodegradable, coral reef safe and ocean safe with no environmental concerns.
Purearth is Leaping Bunny Cruelty Free International certified for being 100% cruelty free with a range of vegan/vegetarian formulations 100% from natural origin, drawn from wild harvest, Ecocert and certified organic ingredients.
Sensitive to the value of the Earth’s ecosystem, the nutrient rich, palm oil free, gluten free botanicals stem from organic, Vedic, biodynamic farming; respecting seasonality and the sacred ceremony of harvesting in cadence with nature’s rhythms.
Pre-mix bases, fillers, toxic chemicals, synthetic colours, fragrances, additives and the myriad of questionable chemicals are never a part of the Purearth approach.
With a commitment to a no plastic pledge, Purearth creations are hand-filled and hand poured with care in recyclable French violetglass bottles, and housed in FSC certified, biodegradable, recyclable natural paper boxes.
Purearth constantly promotes the upcycling of all its material with the use of 100% reusable packaging, equipment and lab apparatus, emitting a low carbon footprint.
A Purearth sister organization and tax exempt charitable company established in India, PPF is actively engaged in environmental impact initiatives that support biodynamic and organic farming, reforestation projects, eco sanitation, women’s health, wellness and livelihoods programs across India.
