From light lotions to rich creams, preference in texture varies considerably across the world. Such variations can be attributed to skin type, but also to cultural differences and climate. Across the continents, consumers are living in very different climatic conditions. In Europe, many consumers change their skin care products between summer and winter, yet seasonal variation in Europe is actually much lower than that found elsewhere. In many parts of Asia, for example, although winters can be cold and dry, summers bring extremely high heat and humidity.
