British skin care supplement brand Advanced Nutrition has formulated a new product using the antioxidant that makes salmon flesh and flamingo feathers vibrant pink.

The astaxanthin supplement will be available exclusively in the brand’s new Skincare Ultimate Box launching this September.

“Although this antioxidant gives flamingoes their lovely pink feathers, it won’t turn your skin pink but the antioxidant may help reduce the impact of UV light on skin, the main cause of skin damage,” Lorraine Peretta, Head of Nutrition for the Advanced Nutrition Programme told Cosmetics Business.
