The 1,400sqft bricks-and-mortar space joins stores opened by a plethora of other beauty brands including Kiehl’s, Caudalie, Deciem and Fresh

Australian skin care brand Aesop has opened its long-awaited bricks-and-mortar space at up-and-coming retail destination Seven Dials in London, UK.

The brand made the announcement in October last year, but celebrated the opening earlier this month.

The 1,400sqft space is said to offer a vast selection of skin, hair and body products, and is designed with curved interior walls, timber floorboards and cast iron basins.

Samantha Bain-Mollison, Shaftesbury’s Head of Retail, the investment trust that owns Seven Dials, said the new opening marked an exciting shift for the area.

“The recent opening of Aesop within Seven Dials is perfectly timed to coincide with new year lifestyle overhauls from consumers.

“The addition of this renowned Australian skin care brand within our portfolio also marks an exciting shift for Monmouth Street towards becoming an extensive beauty hub, with international brands.”

Bain-Mollison also said she was looking forward to diversifying the area’s beauty brands in 2020.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Aesop added: “Clients can explore and select from a complete range of skin, hair and body care products, distinguished by botanical and laboratory-generated ingredients of the highest quality.

“The Seven Dials store’s trained consultants are able to offer advice about products best suited to individual needs.”

Aesop added that meticulous and considered design remains “paramount” for the creation of each new shop.
