Amber Loki looks after the development of the Sainsbury’s own brand portfolio within the Non-Food Grocery area. She recently helped to launch the retailer’s new beauty brand – Boutique.

What was the main motivation behind the launch of Boutique?

The motivation was to meet the needs of women. We know times are tough – not only are women time poor, they are increasingly having to stretch the household budget further and further. We developed Boutique to offer a clear and uncomplicated range, both in terms of the colours we offer, and the way it’s communicated in-store. We want women to feel they can treat themselves on their weekly shop, with purse-friendly prices.
