Avon taps beauty guru Sali Hughes for new podcast series

The episodes will kick off with interviews from Hannah Martin, Sam Farmer and Caroline Hirons

Avon has teamed up with beauty expert and editor Sali Hughes to launch a new series of podcasts.

The Beauty Podcast will explore the industry’s latest trends and topics, while discussing the newest innovations skin care, injectables and cancer.

Kicking off the episodes will be interviews with make-up artist Hannah Martin, clean beauty connoisseur Sam Farmer and skin care expert, blogger and YouTuber Caroline Hirons.

“I’m delighted to be hosting a podcast supported by Avon,” said Hughes.

“We were aligned from the start on wanting to make an intelligent, honest and credible beauty podcast.”

Consumers will be available to tune in from 14 August with a new episode set to be released every Wednesday.

“We are really proud to be partnering with Sali on The Beauty Podcast series,” added Avon’s Chief Beauty and Brand Officer, James Thompson.

“Her clout in the industry is remarkable and for us this is a great opportunity to demonstrate Avon’s relevance and open up the brand to new consumers.”

In 2018, the brand launched its Make It Happen podcast which celebrates the company’s most entrepreneurial and long-standing representative.

Hughes’ journalistic background has seen her write features for Grazia, Elle, Stylist and Cosmopolitan.

She is also the Guardian’s resident beauty columnist and co-founded Beauty Banks with Jo Jones to help tackle consumers living in poverty get essential bathroom products.
