BASF’s Colors & Effects teams up with Pantone for annual colour trend forecast

BASF’s Colors & Effects brand and leading colour expert Pantone Color Institute have released their annual colour trends forecast.

‘Time to break free’ offers palettes of new colours and effects forecast for autumn/winter 2020 and spring/summer 2021, and is inspired by the themes of tranquility, peace and privacy.

The autumn/winter Incognito trend offers a neo-nude colour palette including Pantone colours Hushed Violet and Etheria; formulations feature a touch of sparkle using pigments like Chione HD Infinite White.For winter, Incognito’s colour palette shifts to deeper hues, with Elderberry and Turkish Coffee. Formulations showcase dewy and mineral metallics via pigments like Gemtone Radiant Nude.

For spring, Bliss offers refreshing colours and uplifting effects. Shades like Daquirose and Sweet Summer Glow are complemented by effect pigments like Reflecks Pinpoints of Pearl.

Summer, meanwhile, sees hues like Marmalade Margarita and Sunset Gold featuring Reflecks Clearly Copper to add sparkle.
