Beauty industry welcomes world-first Bluetooth hair straightener

The beauty industry is welcoming in its first-ever Bluetooth activated hair styling product.

Created by London-based hair care brand Glamoriser, the Glamoriser Smart Straightener (£140) connects to customers' mobile phones in an effort to give a personalised styling experience.

Shoppers can use the product by answering questions about their hair type and routine, via the free app, to find an optimum styling temperature and lock the device to a certain heat.

Meanwhile, the diary feature allows users to plan a hair routine and set reminders, which can also link to social media channels.

Through the Bluetooth technology, timers can also be set to ensure the item is turned off; this can be used between five and 20 minutes.

The products itself is designed with ceramic plates, infused with black diamond oil, which is designed to leave hair sleek and shiny; it can also be used for curling hair.

Other products in the Glamoriser range include hair dryers and hairbrushes as well as alternative straighteners.

The product can now be purchased from Boots, Argos, Currys, Debenhams, Superdrug, Amazon and via glamoriser.com.

Customers can download the app via Apple Store and Google Play.
