Beauty retailer Sephora bans sale of mink fur eyelashes

Sephora, the LVMH-owned beauty retailer, has banned the sale of mink fur eyelashes.

The retailer said that earlier this year it had decided to phase out mink fur from its product range in 2020 and confirmed it will no longer sell lashes containing the fibres in its North American stores.

It is instead offering consumers faux lash alternatives, such as its House of Lashes x Sephora Collection range, which includes products that use 100% synthetic fibres.
