Beautyworld Middle East 2012 opens doors

Trade fair is 23% larger than last year


Beautyworld Middle East 2012 opened its doors today at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Now in its 17th year, the trade fair has increased by 23% in size compared with last year, while exhibitor numbers are also up 10%. Ahmed Pauwels, ceo of Epoc Messe Frankfurt, who organised the fair, said: “Beautyworld Middle East has traditionally been the event of choice for leading international players within the beauty and wellness sector to showcase their products and services to the wider region. It acts as a strong platform for international product launches here."

He added: “With current estimates indicating that the Middle East will continue to be a high growth market for beauty and cosmetics related products, interest among exhibitors looking to widen their imprint on the region remains strong.”

Beautyworld Middle East 2012 will run until 31 May.
