France’s Berkem, which is an expert in the extraction of cosmetic actives from plants, has unveiled Botanykem, a range of botanical extracts and floral waters, including carefully selected exotic plants like gotu kola or Arnica mexicana, as well as traditional plants including marigold, grape and peppermint.
The botanical extracts are a source of active molecules, such as flavonoids, tannins, vitamins, AHAs, saponins, terpenes and more, and Berkem says they would boost finished cosmetic products by bringing active water to the formulation.
