Brand will donate $1 to burn survivors charity, The Phoenix Society, for every video share

Bio-Oil has launched a campaign supporting burn survivors as part of a fund-raising drive for in partnership with charity The Phoenix Society.

Sharing the message: “Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin” the video demonstrates the benefits of The Phoenix Society’s camps for young survivors.

Brad Wiggins, Founder and former Director at Camp Nah Nah Mah at the University of Utah, said: “It’s kind of common nature in our society to look at people that look different than we do every day.

“I think you should walk up to someone that you’re staring at that might have a burn injury and say: ‘You know what, I noticed that you’re a burn survivor. Congratulations on surviving something so difficult. You’re doing a really great job!’”

Camp Nah Nah Mah teaches burn survivors to look past their scars and reclaim their bodies through physical activity.

Bio-Oil has pledged to donate $1 to The Phoenix Society for each time the video is shared, up to a total of $25,000.

Gail Roddy, General Manager of Bio-Oil at Pacific World, said: “It’s important for burn survivors to know that they are not alone in their journey.

“Bio-Oil’s goal is to bring more awareness and comfort to the burn survivor community as well as spread the message of positivity to everyone to be comfortable in their skin through this inspiring video.”

Last year’s Burn Survivor video by Bio-Oil (below) was watched more than 3 million times and raised just under $100,000.

Funds raised will be presented to The Phoenix Society at the World Burn Congress in October.
