The L'Oréal campaign has announced its latest support of Mission Blue for World Oceans Day on 8 June

Skin care brand Biotherm has launched two initiatives to help protect aquatic life in time for World Oceans Day on 8 June.

The L'Oréal company has sponsored a document created by international ocean campaign Mission Blue to raise awareness about the importance of marine protection areas.

This year’s focus for the NGO is the ancient seagrass meadows surrounding the Balearic Islands of Formentera and Mallorca.

Biotherm has also launched its new Waterlover Sun Milk, an eco-focused SPF collection that took seven years to develop.

The collection is an attempt to tackle the environmental impact of rinse-off products on the ocean.

“Our ambition was to create a sun milk with the least possible impact on aquatic life, going further than existing sun milks while proposing effective protection and meeting consumers’ expectations and needs when it comes to application and sensorial experience," said Caroline Nègre, Biotherm Scientific Director.
