Self-tanning brand expands from native Australia into Ricky’s NYC stores

Australian self-tanning brand Bondi Sands has broken into the US market via beauty retailer Ricky’s NYC.

The brand launched its full range of products through 25 Ricky’s NYC locations in Manhattan as well Miami Beach this month. Ricky’s NYC is also the exclusive stockist of Bondi Sands’ latest launch Liquid Gold, a self-tanning dry oil, for its first three months of sale.

Bondi Sands has appointed N2Z Global Group as its exclusive North American distributor. Noah Yeruham, CEO of N2Z Global Group, added: ”Bondi Sands is already a brand leader in Australia and New Zealand, having seen phenomenal success over the past three years. We are very excited to introduce the collection to the North American market and are beyond pleased to partner with Ricky's, an iconic retailer known as a trend setter in the industry.”

Bondi Sands was scouted by Ricky's NYC due to its strong social media presence; on Instagram the brand has 263k followers. Ricky’s NYC Buyer Gina Tolipani said: “I stumbled across Bondi Sands on Instagram quite a few months ago and decided to try it out. I was instantly amazed by the fast and natural looking results that the Dark Foam had left. Ricky's is well known for being home to some of the hottest and hard to get brands, most of which have a huge following on social media. With the quality and support that Bondi Sands offers, it was pretty much a no brainer to carry their line. We are super excited for the success to come with our partnership.”

Bondi Sands launched in Australia in 2012 and has become the number one selling self-tanning brand in the country and a leading brand in New Zealand. The brand is named after Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach.
