With its headquarters in Mauritius and 4 other subsidiaries in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), France (Paris), Romania (Bucharest) and India (New Delhi), it has access to a wide panel of multi-ethnic subjects. This allows to undertake multi-centric trials with a rapid recruitment process in accordance with Good Clinical Practices and international standards.
Today, CIDP comprises a team of 120 doctors, pharmacists, project managers, clinical research assistant, biostatisticians, biologists, chemists and data managers. The Regulatory department holds a team of specialists in the field who work closely with toxicologists and have a good knowledge of regulatory aspects worldwide (expertise for Europe, Mauritius, Brazil, India, China, Japan, and USA). The Biostatistics and Data Management department consists of a professional team working on software such as Clinsight, IBM SPSS and SAS. The modern and secured offices and the equipments used, reflect the high quality standard required for the successful conduct of clinical studies.
CIDP is continuing its differentiation by investing in a fully-equipped cell and tissue culture laboratory. This new unit offers a preclinical expertise to our client as well as a global approach. Hence, CIDP is able to analyse pharmaceutical, cosmetic and nutraceutical products (including ingredients), to produce the various innocuousness certificates and, then, to carry out the desire clinical test. Its know-how and the quality of its services have earned CIDP the recognition of the world leaders in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry.
CIDP Research & Innovation (ex - Centre de Phytothérapie et de Recherche - CEPHYR), focuses its investigation on plants and their potential application in the field of cosmetic, nutrition and therapy. Its geographical position at the heart of the Mascarene Islands and close to the African continent gives it enviable access to a rich and unexploited flora. From this unique biodiversity and CIDP’s cutting edge expertise in ethno-pharmacology and research, it aims to become a premium provider of novel phytochemicals, proprietary-based ingredient technologies and seamless contract research services on natural products.
By the end of 2014, the CIDP Group headquarters has moved to new facilities due to the expansion of its activities and is now forming part of a biotechnology park along with other companies specialised in biochemistry, microbiology, analytical chemistry, radiology and many more. This scientific hub will be the first of its kind in Mauritius. This will enable CIDP to propose a wider range of services to its clients.
