CPL Aromas appoints two new development chemists

These appointments are in line with the company’s commitment to improve and develop the R&D function

CPL Aromas has strengthened its global R&D team with the appointment of two new development chemists

These appointments are in line with the company’s commitment to improve and develop the R&D function within the organisation and will be tasked with further developing existing R&D concepts currently being offered to customers.

Genna Magnall is appointed Senior Household Care Chemist and will be based in the CPL’s Brixworth site. A graduate of Forensic Chemistry from Manchester Metropolitan University, she brings with her a total of seven years work experience, 4 of which were at Robert McBride Ltd, a British-based manufacturer of household and personal care products. While at Robert McBride, she started as a volunteer technician for a year while studying her degree and after graduating was hired by the company as Development Specialist where she acted as the group technical contact for a wide range of FMCG products and European group portfolios.

Genna will help CPL Aromas to focus and enhance the growth of household care applications for the company, as well as, to help build key relationships with suppliers and customers.

David Rees

David Rees

David Rees is appointed Encapsulation Chemist and is tasked to drive the development of CPL’s Aromacore patent-protected fragrance encapsulation platform. He will focus on building the company’s encapsulation capabilities and knowledge to produce fragrances with optimised performance and superior delivery.

David joins CPL with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham and will be based at the UK Brixworth site. With 6 years experience from ISP Microcaps (now part of Ashland Specialty Ingredients), he has an extensive knowledge on encapsulation of flavours and fragrances, has managed academic collaborations and led encapsulation technology innovation projects targeting oral care and household applications.
