Celebrating 40 years

Barrington Hall was the venue for the CPL Aromas charity ball held on 9 September 2011 organised to celebrate the companies’ 40th anniversary whilst raising money for the charity CAFOD. Over 200 guests enjoyed a gala evening in the grounds of CPL’s head office in the Hertfordshire countryside which was this year styled in a Venetian theme.

In attendance were customers, agents and other partners from over 20 countries who were treated to an evening of entertainment that included a champagne reception, sumptuous meal, music and dancing well into the night. Guests also experienced a spectacular fireworks display in the grounds of Barrington Hall.

The evening included a charity casino, raffle and auction which helped to raise £11,000 for CPL’s designated charity CAFOD who work in 40 countries throughout the world striving to reduce poverty and injustice. CPL is grateful to the many customers and suppliers who generously donated many of the items that were offered as prizes during the evening.

A specially designed limited edition candle was produced as a commemorative souvenir of the evening. The Venetian styled packaging contains a sensationally innovative and luxurious fragrance containing cardamon, coriander, ginger, lavender, nutmeg and vetiver oils.

The company will celebrate its 40th anniversary on 10 December when in 1971 Michael and Terry Pickthall embarked on their vision to start, from scratch, what is today a major international Fragrance House.
