The French skin care brand has chosen the trendy Marais area of Paris to set up shop

On 20 July, French skin care brand Caudalie will officially open its first boutique in France. The brand, which specialises in products made from grapes and vine extracts, has chosen the trendy Marais area of Paris to set up shop.

Formerly known for its boutique clothing shops, the street has recently become the home of other leading beauty brands, including Kiehl’s, MAC, Diptyque, Make Up For Ever, Bobbi Brown and Jo Malone.

The design of the 45sqm shop revisits the design of Caudalie’s Spa Vinothérapie les Sources and the Château Smith Haut Lafitte. The main window features real grape vines, while raw oak and marble decorate most of the main facade and the interior. Inside the store, plasma screens project images of the company’s Château Smith Haut Lafitte spa, while illustrations of vines decorate the walls. Lighting is provided by lamps from Modern Binary in the shape of giant grapes. At the centre of the boutique, the “bar barrique” allows customers to test products either by themselves or with the help of a “vinotherapist”, while organic tisanes and freshly pressed grape juice are on offer as refreshments.
