Clarins has revamped its iconic Stretch Mark Control product with a new blend of plant-based ingredients and packaging design.

Dubbed Body Partner (£40), the formula is said to contain the brand’s Phyto Stretch Complex, combining organic green banana and asiaticoside from Centella asiatica.

These ingredients are designed to increase the synthesis of type I and V collagen, to improve skin firmness, and encourage the synthesis of fibrillin-1, a major component in the formation of elastic fibres.

In turn, this will help minimise the width, length, depth and colour of stretch marks.

Meanwhile, glycyrrhetinic acid, a molecule extracted from liquorice and known for its anti-inflammatory properties, is said to reduce discomfort.

Customers will be able to buy the new product from 23 February.
