French beauty brand Clarins is releasing a new anti-ageing serum inspired by the latest developments in biomimetic skin care. The new Double Serum is said to feature a unique Hydric+Lipidic System which claims to combine 20 of the most powerful plant extracts in a single product.

Housed in separate vials, the formula is able to allow high numbers of water and oil-soluble ingredients to act together without the need for emulsifiers. The result is a high-intensity effect on the skin where wrinkles are minimised, skin appears firmer and pores are less visible, according to the brand.

Along with plant ingredients such as organic green tea, avocado and rosehip oil, the formula also uses three "cutting edge actives" including biotechnology-derived hyaluronic acid, phytosphingosine and Survixyl IS peptide.

The new Double Serum launches in February priced at £55/30ml.
