Colombia’s bath and shower segment is flourishing, due to a dynamic intimate hygiene market and the use of a wider range of formats
The soap, bath and shower market bubbled up by 5.5% in Colombia in 2015, according to Mintel, to reach Colombian Peso (COP) 788.4bn (US$287.6m) – and it is forecast to reach COP817.7bn ($265.8m) in 2016, the research organisation says.
Market leaders in the bath and shower category include Colgate-Palmolive (which held a share of 30.1% in 2013, according to Mintel, with major brands Protex and Palmolive), Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Azul-k, Belleza Express, Reckitt Benckiser Group and Flamme.
